 The Hip Hinge and Deadlift

If you’re going to train with kettlebells, the hip hinge is something you need to master - it’s the foundation of many kettlebell exercises. The swing, for example, is pretty much the centre of the kettlebell universe. Once you master consistent unloaded hinges, you can introduce resistance with a kettlebell. You can take what you’ve just learned with the hinge movement and incorporate a single kettlebell for a deadlift. This is the ultimate function movement - picking up heavy objects safely from the ground is quite possibly one of the most functional things you can do and something you likely do daily.

 The Hardstyle Kettlebell Swing

The swing is another foundational movement in kettlebell training and is one of the best full-body ballistic exercises you can do. It builds powerful hips and posterior chain muscles (glutes, hamstrings, lower back). But it’s also great for building grip strength. You learn the two arm and one arm hardstyle swing variations.

 KB Row and Clean

Any pulling movement starts with strong shoulders - and the kettlebell row is one of the most effective movements to achieve that; you want to generate a strong connection between the shoulders and trunk. The Clean is one of the most common kettlebell exercises that most people get wrong but, in this module, you will learn to GET IT RIGHT! If you haven’t mastered the racked position yet, the clean is where you will. It is the foundation for bringing the kettlebell to the rack position, from which you can execute several different movements.

 KB Squats and Lunges

If you want strong legs and a strong core, the squat is one of the best exercises you can do - kettlebell or not. And the KB goblet squat is amazing for teaching proper movement mechanics for squatting in general. In this module you will learn multiple squat variations. And once you’ve semi-mastered the kettlebell squat, you can progress to the reverse lunge. It’s a great movement for strengthening the glutes and legs, but also improving balance and mobility.

 KB Shoulder Press and Floor Press

The KB military press is one of the staple kettlebells exercises for building upper body strength, specifically in the shoulders. Although the shoulder press looks relatively simple, it does require proper technique and focus to execute properly. YOU will learn both strict and push press variations. There are a lot of exercises you can do for building upper body strength, but the KB floor press is a great supplementary exercise for increasing the strength of the chest and triceps. The single-arm floor press is a variation of the chest press that provides a unique challenge for the triceps and core.

 Kettlebell Snatch Variations

The kettlebell snatch is a classic intermediate exercise that engages almost every muscle in the body. It’s a fast, explosive movement that fires up your posterior chain muscles, stabilizes the shoulder joint, boosts your heart rate, and strengthens and balances any sort of weaknesses you may have.
